Kyrö Pink Gin is the result of the team in Finland exploring what a pink gin could be if it was made for everyone. The result was an expression made with its excellent rye-based gin, infused with a combo of foraged strawberries, lingonberries, and rhubarb. It's an enjoyably creamy gin, with the sweetness of the berries and rhubarb balancing the herbaceous, spicy notes from the spirit itself. Marvellous for refreshing summer tipples, but we're certain this will almost be brilliant in some warming winter cocktails, too...
Raspberry and strawberry, with creamy vanilla and a crack of black pepper. Oily juniper and spicy coriander, plus almond sweetness.
Herbal and sweet, essentials oils of meadowsweet and gentle coriander.
Full bodied, complex and herbal flavours.
Pepper of rye, acidity of cranberry and tannins of birch.
Oh yes, that's the good stuff! Invitingly fragrant as soon as the bottle is opened, delicious floral and fruity notes are present but not overwhelming, and a lovely fresh cucumber finish. This is now my official second-favourite gin ... or maybe joint favourite. Only problem is the small bottle, it just doesn't keep. Right, time to stop wittering on here, I'll go and buy some more!
I bought the Kyro Pink Gin for my daughter in law who has tried many gins but said this was delicious. I’m not usually I gin drinker but she asked me to try it neat. To my surprise I found it very nice.
