Ki No Tea Gin Bottling Note

The Kyoto Distillery, the city's first dedicated gin maker, has fast become recognised for its fastidious attention to detail. Its second release, Ki No Tea, has been meticulously created to the same exacting standards. The limited edition expression is the result of a partnership with noted tea grower and blender Hori-Shichimeien, which was founded just to the south of Kyoto in 1879. A carefully selected blend of teas, including Tencha and Gyokuro, have been added to the botanical recipe (Hinoki cypress, yuzu and juniper, among others) which imparts an intense aroma and depth of flavour. Chic, elegant and dignified.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Delicate citrus followed by a warming green tea aroma, then distant juniper.

Palate: A real sweetness comes through, not dissimilar to milk chocolate. Then it's all about the juniper, floral tea notes and grassiness.

Finish: Clean, refreshing and super-long...

Overall: A graceful gin ideal for long drinks, Martinis and even sipping.

Reviews for Ki No Tea Gin
Disappointed. No green tea flavour
Very disappointed, no green tea flavour at all. Had very high expectations after reviews, but no flavour at all, just a gin taste nothing special. Not worth the value of money.

Great gin, not limited.
To the person down below: A limited release is not limited if the exact same product is manufactured every year over and over again. Monkey 47 Distiller's Cut, that is a limited release of 4000 bottles. Every year a different ingredient.

This ki no tea gin is full of flavors and goes well on the rocks or in a regular tonic. Enjoy!

The Best! Nothing comes close
The best and most unique gin I have ever tasted. The smell alone is worth the price of the bottle! The taste of tea provides a wonderful point of difference without feeling forced like many flavoured gins.
