Bold and delightful gin from the Kurayoshi Distillery in Japan! Including an exquisite array of 14 botanicals such as yuzu peel, Japanese sansho pepper, gyokuro, sakura, and local Tottori speciality – nashi pears, it's brimming with complexity. The gin is finished with spring water from nearby Mt. Daisen, and kept to a punchy 47% ABV, its an interesting sipper neat and will add great depth to G&Ts and cocktails.
A good dose of citrus and fresh pear at the fore, continuing with crisp green apple, a waft of vegetal herbs, green tea, and prickly pepper.

This has the overwhelming flavor of terribly badly distilled Sancho peppercorns. Anyone that tells you otherwise is an idiot infatuated with all things, Japanese. They make good stuff 99.9% of the time this is the .01% that actually is garbage.
I bought this gin from Dan Murphy’s, it is very new in stock, based on the reviews and of course the gorgeous packaging. I have tried many a gin, Archie Rose, Hendricks, Roku, Jinzo, to name but a few of my favourites and this is the first time both myself and my partner have been disappointed. I’m thinking it’s the coriander that overpowers all other botanicals in this gin, more so than any other gin I’ve tasted with coriander listed. We just can’t get used to how strong the herbs notes are. It isn’t a gin I would purchase again.
