King's Hill Gin Bottling Note

All the way from the Pentland Hills in Scotland comes King's Hill Gin, made with a combination of botanicals that includes juniper, coriander, orris root, elderflower and gorse. The name is a reference to a bet made by King Robert the Bruce and Sir William Sinclair of Roslin - not a reference to the classic cartoon 'King of the Hill'.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Liquorice, soft orange, thyme and menthol. Rather cooling - ought to make for great refreshing cocktails.

King's Hill Gin Reviews

Fantastic easy drinking Gin

Really palatable gin great with the suggested Mediterranean tonic and a slice of grapefruit. I have to say it is one of the best Gins i have had in recent times and definitely stands out as something very special in what has become a rather saturated Gin market.

Great new gin on the block

Great gin, yet another delightful addition to the Scottish section of my gin cabinet. Very smooth and easy to drink, after another bottle when back in stock.

Don’t hesitate, order now!

Definitely worth 5 stars! Absolutely love this gin. The bottle is fantastic, will be re filling this one with my home made sloe gin. Better get picking Sloes as this one’s going down very quickly, soon be onto bottle No.2!

Well presented and tasty

Really enjoyed this with Mediterranean tonic and a slice of grapefruit, as suggested. Smooth and drinkable for a novice gin-drinker, but with flavours exciting enough for seasoned drinkers. Very nice bottle - would make a lovely gift.

My favourite gin so far !

My favourite gin so far and I absolutely love the bottle design. Loved it with the Mediterranean tonic and grapefruit and also with orange or apple and normal tonic! Smooth and fresh.
With Xmas round the corner Kingshill gin would make the perfect gift.

Distinctive presentation bottle, beautiful gift and very drinkable!

Was gifted this bottle but am not really a gin drinker. I am now converted! Lovely smooth drink with pink grapefruit & tonic and is lovely in a seasonal bramble cocktail. Love the story & history behind the name. Would highly recommend this as a regular tipple or a presentation gift.

Wonderful new gin. First class with Mediterranean Fever Tree tonic over ice. The bottle is beautifully designed and the story of how the gin was named provides an insight into the thought and care that has gone into making this gin a stand out. I wou

Very Gift-able (if you can resist the temptation for yourself)! Appealing, distinctive flavour.

I originally bought this as a gift for a friend but after it spent a few nights on the side, waiting to be wrapped, I was too tempted and decided to try it for myself. Although I don't have vast scope of gin knowledge, I found that this gin had a very appealing, distinctive flavour compared to other gins I have tried thus far. I now need to go and buy a replacement bottle for my friend 😂!

I was recommended this gin by a friend, really enjoyed the unique flavour and I definitely would want to gift this to friends and family, in the future, I can't wait to drink this again, I will be purchasing another one soon! Very grateful to my friend for their recommendation, great choice!

Fantastic find, you absolutely have to try it.

The smell when you pop the vino lock top is awesome. Then when you taste this product it is outstanding, I am not a connoisseur so am not able to pick out all the notes that others refer to but I do get the citrus and other flavours that I think are marvellous. Tried it with fever tree Mediterranean tonic and pink grape fruit and normal tonic and lemon, both beautiful. Really tasty gin, one of the best I have tasted

Great, design, story and flavour. Definitely will be purchasing again!

I recently tried this gin as the bottle design really stood out amongst the others on the shelf. The bottle is of high quality and I like the glass stopper which I don’t see that often with other gins. The story behind the gin is really captivating, a great untold snippet of Scottish history which I was completely unaware of prior to purchasing this gin! Great citrus flavour notes making grapefruit a superb accompaniment to this, with tonic. I had mine with Mediterranean Fever Tree, another great combination. Great buy, I highly recommend!

Smoothest gin on the market!

Superb new Scottish gin! Traditional juniper led gin in classic London Dry Style. A fine balance of locally foraged botanicals gives a delicious fresh punchy note with a fantastically smooth finish. Try with med Tonic and grapefruit, absolutely delicious! Beautiful bottle, gin and story. Highly recommend. Came out top on more than one occasion during our blind tastings.
