135 East Hyogo Dry Gin Bottling Note

135 East Hyogo Dry Gin from The Kaikyo Distillery is named for the Akashi Meridian, which runs past the distillery in Akashi city at 135 degrees east longitude. It boasts a boatload of Japanese botanicals, with cedar wood, shiso leaf, chrysanthemum, sansho pepper and yuzu! Citrus and spice intertwine beautifully in this fragrant gin.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Leafy and vibrant, with mint, lime, caraway and fresh juniper.

Palate The leafy notes remain at the fore, but soon enough a creamy hint of green tea arrives, along with a kick of ginger.

Finish Just a touch of citrus oil sweetness appears on the finish.

Woody
I could smell the cedar on the first whiff and it's oddly soothing.
