The award-winning Estonian brand Junimperium made this delight by infusing its gin with botanicals like bitter orange, cardamom, vanilla, cassia bark and lingonberries, classic seasonal flavours native to the boreal forests of Estonia, to create a profile that could capture the feel of a Christmas market.

Whilst it's still cold outside we thought we'd try this gin, certainly different but in a good way. From its red/pink colour the perception was that it may be sweet with a hint of winter spice however it has depth from the lingonberry fruit and actually comes up dry with a bitter edge from the orange peel. There is also a distinctive note of pine that comes through with strong juniper. We found best served with a citrus tonic and a sprig of rosemary. It also makes an interesting addition to hot chocolate!
