Description

Jawbox Gin comes to us from the Ards Peninsula, on the north-east coast of Northern Ireland. This small batch gin is made with a combination of 11 botanicals, including juniper, lemon, cubeb, angelica, coriander, cassia, orris root, grains of paradise, cardamom, liquorice root and Black Mountain heather. The distillers recommend trying this with ginger ale and a squeeze of lime.

Overall

Peppery juniper starts it off, followed by fragrant angelica and citrus. Fresh pine begins to grow as it develops, with cardamom adding a hint of spice.

Will be buying more?

Recommended to me by my cousin in England a few years ago, finally made it to the States…fantastic, clean, bit of spice on the back! Really wakes the palate with the nose of botanicals?

Strong and smooth

This is a great gin. Strong presence but smooth flavour. Very balanced. It’s now my preferred G&T.

It was nice.

It's very strong, 3 doubles, I was sleeping.
