An intriguing variation of Indian Summer Gin, which has enjoyed a maturation in a cask that previously held peated single malt Scotch whisky from the Ardmore Distillery. Following its rest, it was bottled at cask strength. Even with the burly flavours imparted by the maturation, the fragrant gin at its core, flavoured with the very pricey saffron, still stands out.
Powerfully flavoursome stuff, this. Big floral elements sit at the core, while soft hints of earthy peat and toasted oak develop, giving it a comforting warmth.
