Hoxton Tropical Gin has some unusual star botanicals. Coconut and grapefruit are accompanied by ginger, tarragon and orris. Inspired by the great east end of London. This one will certainly be hard to miss on the back of any bar.
Tropical, coconut rum-like, perfumed with sweet citrus and soft juniper developing on the late palate and finish.
This just shouldn't be able to be called a gin, it's a sweet flavoured spirit with a gin price tag.
This stuff is an embarrassment to gin. Why does it need to be so sweet? Gin is now more gimmicky than vodka and has lost all credibility.
This is certainly nothing like Malibu! You get grapefruit & citrus at first - incredibly refreshing, followed by a hint of juniper and coconut aftertaste which lingers. Very clever, very refreshing, not at all sickly... stunning! Served with Fevertree Mediterranean and a wedge of lime. (Perfect accompaniment.) It’s a must try!
So far from what gin should be like that it must be aimed at people who don't actually like gin. Avoid like the plague if you enjoy your gin.
By far my favourite gin! I have quite a gin collection and this is definitely my favourite! With the underlying flavour of coconut, it just takes the edge of the sometimes sickly taste gin can have.
