HMS Spirits Mary Rose Gin Bottling Note

Mary Rose Gin from the HMS Spirits Company is a London Dry Gin that prominently features floral wafts of rosemary and punchy grapefruit among its botanical selection. Stands up well to all manner of classic mixers.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose A rush of juniper and floral rosemary, with a hint of heather in there too, plus zesty citrus oils.

Palate Heady waves of rosemary and a good crackle of black pepper. Lemon and orange once again bringing welcome vibrancy.

Finish Lasting oily juniper warmth on the finish.

Reviews for HMS Spirits Mary Rose Gin
A new fav!
Having tried many of the artisan brands out there at the moment I have to say this is one of my favourites. If you're a fan of a traditional gin and tonic but like something with a different spin then this is for you. Grapefruit and rosemary are a combination I was unsure would go but they really work together! Lovely clean and punchy flavour without the sickly sugary taste a lot of gins have.

Lovely and very drinkable.
Was never much of a gin drinker til I tried this one. Got through a few bottles with friends and family over the Christmas period and everyone loved it.
Personally I like it best with a plain tonic and rosemary and lime.

Such a nice gin, finished the bottle off last night and will be ordering another. Very smooth and a great choice of botanicals. makes a great G&T :)

Fantastic Gin, my current favourite and soon to be yours to!
This has become my absolute favourite gin since trying it at the Great British Gin festival last year. Never fails to impress guests when having a get together.

A true classic with a twist
Tried this gin at the World's Best Martini Competition and went on to buy a bottle.

A classic juniper led gin, you pick up on the pink grapefruit and then the rosemary leaves a soft linger rather than burn at back of palate. A perfect G&T or Martini.

Superb with Jeffrey's Not So Plain
We also tasted this at Tatton Park yesterday and it paired absolutely superbly with our Jeffrey's Not So Plain - an amazing mix of flavour comes flooding through!

Bitter taste
Had one of the first batch and it was smooth. Bought another bottle recently and the bitterness of the rosemary left a off taste. Tried it with a few different mixers and managed to hide the taste, but you shouldn't need to hide the flavour of a good gin!

Tried this today at NFS - Decent enough but not quite as smooth as I'd expect. Good nevertheless

nowt fancy for the price
im big fan of gin and love to try something different but really disapointed that this didnt justify the price tag.. dont get me wrong its better than bombay but aint quite premium to be sold at 40quid for 500ml!!
