Hidden Curiosities Gin Bottling Note

Hidden Curiosities is a very handsome gin produced in the equally-as-handsome Surrey Hills in the south east of England. It's made using a combination of 20 botanicals, including yuzu, bergamot, pink grapefruit, lavender, violet and white mulberries. The producers recommend trying it neat or over ice so you can wrap your mind around the complex flavour profile. Curiouser and curiouser...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Vibrant spiciness of cardamom and pink peppercorn, well balanced by waves of fresh citrus peels. Oily juniper fills the mouth, leading to light savoury/herbaceous hints on the mid-palate paired with a flourish of flower petals right at the end.

Reviews for Hidden Curiosities Gin
A hidden gem
One of the top small batch gins I've tried. Really easy to drink neat, incredibly smooth, but packed with aromatic flavours. Hidden Curiosities bottle design is awesome too, and makes a great gift.

Hidden Curiosities is craft at its finest
My favourite gin by miles. I've been a huge fan of Hidden Curiosities gin for a few years now and each time I go back to it I realise why I love it so much. Complex, and delicious, even whisky fans would admire this.

Batch no 7 is the best yet
Hidden Curiosities has always been a favourite of mine, and my go-to gin. Since their release of their latest batch no 7, they've improved the flavour profile remarkably. This batch has a lot more bite, and pepperiness to it, without being overbearing or harsh on the palate. It's still somehow smooth and well-rounded, but this time it really shows through once you add tonic. I totally recommend trying it - best yet!

Deliciously complex
Versatile and clean enough to be enjoyed neat or over ice. Makes superb gimlets, negronis and fragrant refreshing G&Ts.

Very expensive
Nice gin, love the inner label but I read on gin foundry this works out as £50 for a 70cl standard size!

The best gin by far
Well, what can I say? For me, Hidden Curiosities is the best gin around. And I've drank a lot of gin. Great with mixers, with a dash of water or on it's own. Not only does it taste marvellous, but it looks it too (let's face it, looks are important). The bottle design is absolutely gorgeous and very clever indeed. Try it, what's the worst that can happen?

Metro online got it right - my favourite gin i’ve tasted!
Absolutely love this gin! I’m no gin expert but I’m an expert in knowing what I like and I like this one...a lot. Bottle looks amazing on the shelf with its Japanese themed label which looks really good from the inside. I’d definitely recommend the garnish as seems to make the drink and a great talking point when serving..makes you sound and look a gin expert! Metro online’s No1 gin for Christmas def didn’t disappoint!

Don’t miss this one. You MUST try it.
Absolutely amazing Gin. I came home one day and told my wife that one of my patients recommended this new gin and vaguely remembered its name. She was so keen to try it, she ordered it there and then. A bit pricy but well worth the price. The bottle and label are beautiful. We finished it last night and ordered another one. It has become our favorite drink. Simply wonderful. Aroma is great and tastes lovely.

Complex, multilayered and ever-changing
I was lucky enough to receive this gin for Christmas and felt it deserved a review. This gin has so much more to it than meets the eye. First of all, it's very complex, there's a lot going on with those 20 botanicals. On the nose you get bursts of citrus mixed with the spicyness of peppercorns, and delicate waves of floral notes. Tasted neat, a beautiful mouthfeel followed by the instant pepper hit, most cleverly balanced out by the citrus from yuzu and grapefruits, then comes a rush of sweetness from white mulberries and vanilla, green cardamom comes into play, and finally finished off with the soft hints of florals. All in all a very multilayered gin which transforms on the palate as you taste it. Adding a little tonic changes it even more. There is so much you can do with this gin due to its complexity. It's going down far too quickly and I'll have to purchase a second bottle soon.
