Taking inspiration from the popular style of gin consumed in the 18th Century, the folks behind Hayman's have created their own Old Tom Gin! Subtly sweet, though maintains a herbaceous quality throughout.
Gingerbread with icing, lively juniper, floral orris and a touch of black tea richness.
I found this gin to be dreadful as I am a martini man. I suppose it would be acceptable in a sweet drink like a gin and tonic, but otherwise my advice is to avoid it completely.
A nice old Tom, widely considered to be one of the best. Favoured by barmen and my favourite in a G and T. After a few you can even drink it neat. Although I wouldn't reccomend drinking it through a lead pipe no more.
