Gordon's Traveller's

A Traveller's Edition bottling of Gordon's Yellow Label Gin, with a rather handsomely designed label. The Yellow Label expression is more commonly found in Mainland Europe.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Pine-forward notes of juniper and a wave of lemon peel, drying herbaceous lavender and a touch of sweet mint.

Reviews for Gordon's Yellow Label - Traveller's Edition
Pukka Stuff
Bought a twin pack at Dubai airport for a ridiculously small sum of money. It's a seriously grown up drink and I shall hate going back to the domestic ABV . . . eventually.

The right label
The regular release yellow label and the yellow label Travellers Editon are virtually identical, the former distilled at 37.5 and the latter at 47.3. Look for the wee tag near the bottle front. As a yank, the only place I've found the Travellers is, appropriately perhaps, in the airport duty free. The great bartender at Rules, Sam, claims it makes a great martini because the higher ABV helps it "stand up against the dilution." After I had one, I couldn't help agreeing.

ABV
Worth seeking out the 47.3 ABV. I have been caught out in Portugal buying the yellow label which is only 37.5 ABV. So best to read the small print before buying.

Worth seeking out this higher ABV Gordon’s. I too have been caught out in Portugal with 37.5 ABV in a yellow label bottle so you do need to read the small print.

An excellent taste.
Wonderfully balanced taste as below highly recommended. Had considerable difficulty opening... no instructions how the top worked... In end had to break plastic to get at it. Deterred somewhat from experience .... but thanks .
