Greenall's Gin is a smooth, crisp, easy-going sort of a gin which works well as a mixer in a Gin and Tonic…
This is a nice gin for making G&T's. Nice fresh subtle flavor.
I never tried it at 40% but I must say at 37.5 it is rubbish. I drink gin and lager as a cocktail. This might as well be vodka. It has NO discernible flavour and is undetectable. Just throw away your money instead. Never again.?
You have altered the flavour of this gin. It used to be my very favourite, it had a most distinctive taste, but it is slightly bitter now, I don't feel like buying it again. It used to be stronger than the run of mill others, but now, it's not a priority to add to my shopping list.
The reduction s alcohol content has reduced the quality considerably. If you wanted to make money by going down the cheap route Greenall's fair enough but did you have to leave the people who really liked your gin no place to go. I urge you to bring out a 40% (or higher) gin of the flavour and quality you were producing before you dropped the alcohol content. I for one would be prepared to pay a bit more for that. If it were say £17 it would still be good value for money. As it stands I will not buy your gin again.
I am furious at finding out on New Year's Eve that my favourite gin has followed the Gordon's route, sneakily reducing from 40% to 37.5% behind my back. I will never buy it again.
