Description
Part of Four Pillars' Bartender Series, it's Spiced Negroni Gin! This was developed with Jason from Sydney's The Rook Bar and Four Pillars distiller Cameron, with the intent of making a gin perfect for use in a Negroni cocktail - an honourable endeavour. To do this, they boosted the amount of Tasmanian pepperberry leaf and cinnamon used and added grains of paradise, organic blood orange, and ginger to the recipe.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Familiar herbaceous notes mixed with equally familiar dark fruit sweetness. A hint of ginger and rhubarb, too.
Palate
Rather festive at first, with cinnamon and orange. Hints of fennel and damson begin to take shape on the mid-palate.
Finish
Peppermint and black liquorice on the finish.
