Batch 3 of Firkin Gin was rested in a a refill American Oak cask (#1269) that previously held 20 year old Glen Garioch single malt Scotch whisky, just like Batch 2. Being an independent whisky bottler and a gin producer has its benefits! The gin is made with juniper, angelica root, coriander seed and orris root all added to the still.
Juniper and a touch of florals and fragrant spice, Buttercup syrup and buttered toast.
Sweet and slightly herbal, juniper and caramel.
Wood spice and vanilla.
