Belgian distillers Filliers' do love releasing variations on its fabulous Dry Gin 28. This time raspberry and goji berries were added to create this Pink edition.
You may know of goji berries from their a reputation as a 'superfood', originating from ancient Chinese medicine. This has never been scientifically proved, but they do make a delicious botanical - which is just as important.
Rafts of bright juniper and soft red berry fruitiness leads among a slight floral quality and a little prickle of peppercorn.
Quite creamy and slightly dry, notes of vanilla pod and tart raspberry combine beautifully, with a little juniper spice.
Warm, long and with a little of the drying quality from the palate.
Nicely balanced, the red berry addition add a composed, delicate sweetness.
