Gordon's Gin Bottling Note

An absolute classic dry gin, Gordon's is one of the best selling spirits in the world, and was first created in 1769, and the recipe hasn't changed since! This is a triple-distilled gin flavoured with juniper berries, coriander, angelica, and one other botanicals. The actual recipe is only known to a dozen people!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet notes of juniper, a little lemon zest, hints of soft sweetness and fresh herbs.

Palate: Very clean, dry juniper delivery, develops with lemon and other citrus notes - zesty.

Finish: A simple, medium-length finish.

Reviews for Gordon's Gin
Bland and tasteless
I know it's not expensive, but neither is Beefeater and that's far superior. I don't see how this gin is a market leader - perhaps it was better in the past. There are so many better gins for just a few pounds more.

Perfect London Dry Gin, especially at its price point
Gordon's Gin goes back three generations in my family...in fact, my grandmother had an exclamation, "Good Gordon Gin!" One of the best values in any liquor store, its loud juniper notes are perfect for Gin & Tonic. It also pairs perfectly with Cinzano Dry Vermouth (18% ABV) in a Martini. I only wish it were never sold in plastic. Well, you can't have everything, I guess.

Great stuff
I recently tried this Gin. For the price the quality/taste is excellent. Some cheaper gins are bad. This is great. Gordon’s has a steady customer in me now.

Very good inexpensive gin
I have read a few reviews and they were complimentary to a large degree. I bought a bottle and made myself a martini. I really thought it was good. And you cannot beat the price. I will buy more for sure.

Ole Reliable
It is nothing very exciting or "premium", it doesn't have any gimmick like cucumbers but when you want to drink a nice gin and tonic or just a martini you can always trust this, its classic London dry gin with a fairly standard taste, it is the benchmark with which all gins should be judged. I especially like this on gin fizzes and g&t in which most delicate tastes get overshined, it also makes a a good martini but nothing mind blowing. It just works and you know you can always depend on it whenever you want a vanilla gin experience and nothing more.

Unexciting but dependable
There’s so much gin choice these days it’s easy to overlook the obvious. Was my mother’s and is still my sister’s go-to spirit. A reliable and inexpensive old glugger (the gin not my sister!). Don’t drown it with tonic as it’s not the strongest.

Good gin
A great standard gin that I’ve had in the cocktail cabinet ever since I was of drinking age. There are stronger and better on the market but this is still perfectly acceptable.

Sorry to say but...
In a now saturated gin market Gordon's remains a benchmark for London Drys but these days it comes across as cheap and solid but ultimately pretty bland.
