Dornoch Experimental Batch Gin No.9
Feast your eyes upon Batch #9 of the Dornoch Experimental Batches! The whole range was made from scratch at the very small distillery, with not even a drop of neutral grain spirit used! Each batch is made using organic floor malted Odyssey barley, but they're all slightly different - Batch #9 was made with a long, slow distillation, and features big ol' helpings of lemon peel distillate and black pepper distillate.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Warming malty notes, joined by white grape, anise and fennel. A hearty kick of cracked black pepper.
Palate
Rather oily mouthfeel. Another punchy hit of black pepper, now with coriander in tow. Lime cordial and sugared lemon peels.
Finish
A peppery tingle goes on and on and on…
