The first gin from Dornoch's Experimental Batches! Philip and Simon Thompson make their gin from scratch (no bought-in neutral grain spirit whatsoever) at the positively tiny Dornoch distillery in the Scottish town that shares its name. Batch #1 is made using organic floor malted Odyssey barley and their core selection of botanicals - Juniper, Angelica Root, Cardamon Seed, Aniseed, Orange Peel, Lime Peel, Coriander Seeds, Meadowsweet, Pine Needles and Orris Root. Goes very well in a G&T.
Minty and grassy notes develop from the meadowsweet, paired with juicy orange and creamy malt.
Light and elegant mouthfeel. Sweet liquorice, crushed cardamom seed and toasted marshmallow.
Oily juniper and well-rounded angelica notes, with anise continuing long on the finish.
