Cotswolds No.2 Wildflower

For it's No.2 Wildflower Gin, the Cotswolds Distillery has created an expression bursting with gentian, lemon balm, elderflower and chamomile, combined with a tasty London Dry gin. Should do very well as a Gin Spritz or a G&T, garnished with a good sprig of mint. As with No.1 Wildflower Gin, inspiration comes from the distillery's stunning surroundings - namely the gorgeous grasslands of the Cotswolds.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Earthy liquorice, a crackle of peppery juniper, softly sweet with candied peels, just a hint of clean eucalyptus lasts.

Reviews for Cotswolds No.2 Wildflower Gin
Unusual
very herby and refreshing. It has a tangy bitterness of Campari which makes it’s really unusual.

Disappointing.
This gins tasting notes sounded incredible. And at £40+, it really aught to be able to promise what it offers, right?
Wrong.
Unfortunately, it tastes like rubbing alcohol and disappointment.

I cannot find anything floral about it. It is unpleasantly bitter (and this is coming from someone that loves a good ale and bitter salads - this is just the wrong sort of bitter somehow) and lacks any depth or character. The after taste is almost chemically and bordering on medicinal.

Sorry Cotswolds, this is a horrible swing and miss.

Tastes like bubble bath
Unfortunately sounds a lot better than it tastes. Synthetic overpowering flavours that are impossible to dilute nicely.
