Conker Spirit was founded by Rupert Holloway in the wonderful county of Dorset, home to many local beers but very little in the way of spirits. In walks Dorset Dry Gin from Dorset's first gin distillery! Conker Spirit's Dorset Dry Gin is distilled using British wheat spirit, New Forest spring water and 10 botanicals, including some rather distinctively-Dorset-inspired botanicals - Gorse Flowers, Samphire and Elderberries.
A summer meadow aroma leads among the subtle sweetness of citrus and icing sugar. Bright juniper percolates throughout.
Soft and supple, the palate begins with plenty of classic juniper elements among a berry jam sweetness and an underlay of more icing sugar. There’s a touch of spearmint here too.
There is a little damp, earthy spice and orange oil in the finish.
A wonderful take on dry gin that would shine with a helping of elderflower tonic.

This really is a beautiful gin. So good, in fact, that I occasionally omit the tonic and just add ice - the balance of flavours ensure there's no harsh aftertaste, but instead a satisfying 'buzz' that lingers harmoniously on the palate. Delicious! It's even turned my gin-hating boyfriend into a big gin fan. Keep it in the freezer and treat yourself after a long day - it's magic!
Got a taste of the Conker last weekend with mum who smuggled a bottle back to Tassie. 5 stars, 10/10, A+ love it! Looking forward to summer and some lovely Conkertonics!
Absolutely spot on. Beautiful after taste, could drink it all day!
This is a lovely rounded, easy to drink gin and very moreish. I'm delighted that we can buy it locally from Badger and Bumble in Westbourne but also mail order for my relatives in Scotland who are now great fans!
best gin ever, bought it from supersave wines in westbourne...
