Bombay Sapphire East

"A twist on a classic" is an overused phrase, but is surely appropriate here. This edition of one of the most popular London Dry Gins in the world uses the ten classic Bombay Sapphire botanicals plus lemongrass and Vietnamese black peppercorns.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

If you think of Bombay Sapphire as a popular band, then they've added a couple of extrovert musicians for a successful experimental album - added citrus from the lemongrass combines to lift the juniper whilst rounded pepper supports the spices the adds bass depth.

Reviews for Bombay Sapphire East
Subtle twist on a classic
Fabulous twist on the already terrific tasting Bombay Sapphire. The hint of lemongrass with black pepper is quite subtle taking nothing away from the Bombay Sapphire excellence. So much better than most of the current “fads” for flavouring gin.

Great at any time of year.
I love this gin. First discovered it in duty free. This gin pairs really well with Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic. Hope it’s still available when I’m ready to buy another bottle!

Wrong flavours. Waste of good gin!
I thought it was a waste of good gin. I actually thought I'd gone off gin altogether until I sampled the usual and delicious regular Sapphire Blue. The peppercorns flavour is quite bitter but there's a sickly sweetness in the flavour somehow too. All wrong. I bought it by mistake in duty free so am quite disappointed with the result.

An excellent gin for your summery G&T afternoons
This is always one of my favourite go to gins when I am going via Singapore as it's really well priced in the duty free. There is far more of a peppery flavour than there is lemongrass flavour which makes this great for a G&T with grapefruit and black pepper.
