Bobby's Schiedam Dry Gin

A Dutch gin which was launched in 2014, Bobby's Schiedam Dry Gin features a recipe inspired by the creator's grandfather, Bobby Alfons. It's made with a combination of local and exotic ingredients, including juniper, clove, lemongrass, cubeb peppers and rosehips. Highlighting the meeting of Dutch and Indonesian flavours in the spirit, Bobby's Schiedam Dry Gin comes in a bottle which harks back to the style of vessel used to hold jenever, with a pattern inspired by Indonesian designs.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Earthy fennel and cut grass, with peppery whiffs of malt and juniper underneath.

Palate Floral as it opens with fresh rose, followed by a hint of red berry sweetness. Coriander gives it a fragrant spice throughout.

Finish Oily juniper and Christmassy clove.

Reviews for Bobby's Schiedam Dry Gin
Unique enough to be worth a place on your shelf
Charged up with fennel and lemongrass, it's a valid gin, although the juniper is a bit subdued. The spicy, lemony not-lemony nature would make it a good gin for when you crave a citrus-forward gin in the colder months.

I can drink this every day. Clean, crisp, delicious!
People who don’t like this gin probably enjoy something like Barr Hill. If you like a crisp vodka-like drink with amazing aromatics (juniper, clove, lemongrass), you will absolutely love this gin. It has become my daily driver. If you like that traditional gin flavor, check out Bobby’s Jenever. I’m not a fan of that one.

Okey-ish
Not bad but not living up to the hype

The Best Gin
This is the best gin. Drink it neat, or make the freshest G&T. If you are talking to someone who doesn't think gin is as good as whisky, a neat sip of Bobby's is all you need. Nothing compares with this perfect dram.

Okey-ish
Was really looking forward to tasting this gin after hearing so many good stories. Sorry but this one is not for me, a bit average and the flavour profile is just too much. I had to add lemonade to make it taste okey-ish

not a fan of Gin, but this is extra smooth.
it made me go back to Gin after *years* of separation.

Very fresh and spicy
My absolute favorite. It has a very sweet and fresh aromatic smell that reminds me of cola nut, fresh cardamom and lemongrass (cola nut is the nut that coca cola was originally made with)
One of a kind outstanding gin! Great straight or in a GT

One of my favourite gins
This is one of my favourite gins, very fresh and you can taste the herbs. Even people who are not that fond of gin liked this one.

Overrated
Tried this gin as I heard so many good stories about it. To be honest, considering the price, I don’t think it is a good value gin for the premium price we paid....sorry
