From Black Lodge Potions comes this Stinging Nettle & Honey Gin, showcasing the eponymous botanicals. Honey sweetness is balanced by grassy notes from the nettles (the stinging element is eliminated in distillation, don't worry), all bottled up in a rather apothecary-esque vessel.
Smooth honey sweetness with a woody undertone, fresh grassy notes, citrus blossom and a dry juniper finish.
Very nice Gin. Not overly sweet and has a hint of citrus and grass. I guess that's the nettle. Like a good traditional standard gin, but with a twist. Has been our lockdown go-to and we will be purchasing again.
