Another marvellous concoction from the folks at Black Lodge Potions, this gin boasts a rich, smoky profile with plenty of juicy dark berries and sweet, earthen liquorice. An intriguing sipper mixed with tonic, and ought to make a great base for some crafty cocktail serves.
Jammy fruit leads with aromatic smoke, sweet plums, and berries cushion rooty notes of juniper and liquorice.
From the vague review I got he said it is awesome, very berry like Cassis but better, he said the smoke and liquorice wasn't overly noticeable, but he is an Islay whisky drinker so unless intense smoke he normally says that
I’ve had 2 other Black Lodge Potions gins. The Cherry one was nice, but more to my husbands palate and the premium craft (white bottle) which is amazing. This Smoky Berry and Liquorice is very unusual and good with a tonic. but with a lemonade it is just delicious.
This is a very different gin. The colour from the berries gives an interesting contrast in cocktails. The flavour is good though a bit in the sweet side for me.
