No.3 Gin Bottling Note

A beautiful looking gin from Berry Bros. Made to a special recipe, the name No.3 refers to the address of BBR - Number 3, St James's Street. With juniper at its heart, it's also made with three fruits and three spices using copper pot stills.

Its a must!!!!

This has now won 1st place in my favourites. I just love it! The blend of spices and fruits are just perfect for an easy to drink gin with a good alcohol volume. Lovely bottle too!!

It’s ok

Perfectly fine, but there are plenty of better London dry gins at this price point or cheaper (I would pick Portobello Rd or Edinburgh Gin over this one). Not the most important point but imo the key on the bottle is overly cheesy, and it’s not something that looks very nice in the drinks cabinet.

Definitely a favoutite

Looks great, tastes refreshing - full bodied but not harsh at all. Plenty of citrus to go with the juniper. One of the best!

Academically Excellent

From first taste I became a big fan. It tasted like a lot of well informed effort has gone into this one.

Top notch

Like all my gins this is kept in the freezer. Pink gin, gin and tonic, and dry martini all fantastic. Even a gin and water. This is in my top five of gins. ( others monkey 47, Napue, Tanqueray export strength, Beefeater )

Love it

Mum loves it

Pleasant, but not special

Its a pleasant gin, but not deserving of the hype because its made by Berry Brothers. I use gin for martinis and make them very dry. Frankly I found it was unable to stand up to even subtle dilution with ice made from filtered water. There are many, more interesting, and less expensive choices among gins. Plus some extraordinary choices in the winter wheat vodkas from Russia which have amazing flavours, like the inexpensive Russian Standard Vodka

Excellent stuff!

We were introduced to it as a liquor store [off-license] in London when we went to buy scotch. They would not accept credit cards and we lacked sufficient cash, so they offered us a taste of No.3. I'm normally not a gin drinker, but this stuff was excellent straight! When we were able to buy some with plastic, we did & brought it home to the US.

Dutch and awesome!

Perfect for a G&T and even palatable neat, which I cant say of any other gin.

The smoothest gin

Okay, so I’m not an expert and I usually just pick up Tanqueray— but this is the smoothest, most pleasant tasting gin I have ever tried. It’s actually quite palatable straight and absolutely delicious in a classic gin & tonic. Would highly recommend!

O Yes, baby is here to stay.

I think enough has been said, this is top shelf gin, Top ten pos.
There is a special note that makes this gin unique....

Get it in the gin cellar....

I can see why this is highly rated.

It develops from an initial taste in the mouth, on the pallet, into something really smooth but true to the real gin flavours. Yes I could drink this all night it is a true gin memory with a smoothness found in Brockmans but without the intense Mandarin note.... it's a smooth juniper with a note of drink me, take me..... if you like Hendricks and brockmans, then this is going to be another unique gin with a true flavour.

You could drink it all night and not get fed-up of it.....

outstanding experience

splendid discovery, thanks to the MoM editor's comments (never miss a point, those guys!)

Best Gin... ever?

I was sceptical as I didn't think a gin could possibly taste better than Hendricks! I think this one does though...

17th January 2016

Better than Hendricks

... & I like Hendricks!
Very nice gin. In a world full of gins that taste the same, this gin has a difference in taste that makes it better than the other 14 in my drinks cabinet

Great Gin

One of the best gin I ever tasted, maybe the best for a Martini.
