Berry Bros. & Rudd have enlisted the help of Charles Maxwell to recreate a gin produced by the wine and spirits merchants many moons ago. One bottle of the gin remains, which they have dated back to the 1950s. With a small vial of the gin, Maxwell and his team have attempted to produce a flavour profile to match this antique expression, using juniper, coriander, angelica and winter savoury.
Oily juniper, iris, menthol and a touch of sage.
