Description
Well if it isn't Ableforth's superb Bathtub Gin aged in a 50 litre cask that previously held rich, sticky Pedro Ximénez Sherry! Now, we know from experience that Bathtub Gin is perfect for ageing, in fact Ableforth's own release of Cask-Aged Gin was named the World's Best Cask Gin at the World Gin Awards 2016. This limited release PX cask bottling from That Boutique-y Gin Company is sure to be popular.
Batch 2 is a limited release of just 105 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Christmas pudding, spicy cardamom and well-rounded notes of flamed orange peel. A prickle of black pepper too.
Palate
Juicy fruits, clove and a hint of toasted oak. Chewy raisins with a dusting of brown sugar.
Finish
Cola cubes, oily juniper, more spicy cardamom and some drying cinnamon too.
Overall
Shows off a fine balance between Sherried sweetness and herbaceous, oak-y spice.
