Audemus Pink Pepper

A Pink Pepper Gin from French producers Audemus, situated in the heart of Cognac. Made with hand-picked pink peppercorns and a handful of other tasty botanicals (including honey, vanilla and cardamom - all of which are macerated separately then distilled under low pressure and temperature). You'll find a good juxtaposition between sweet and spicy notes in this one...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Plenty of peppery aromas waft up, spicy but sweet at the same time. These touches are well balanced with cinnamon and clean, herbal notes.

Palate An initial rush of pink peppercorn, followed by pine-y juniper and honey. Altogether quite a warming gin.

Finish Spicy pepper lasts.

A spicy hit!
Spicy!! And I love it. Pink Peppar Gin adds a uniquely strong flavour to any cocktail you make, which is great if you want an alternative to traditional gin flavour! My favourite? A Pink Peppar Gin Martini with olives... my winter favourite :)

My go-to favourite for 5 years
I travel a lot and always pick up gins from wherever I go so my collection is pretty eclectic. But the one I refuse to ever run out of is Pink Pepper Gin - the moment I run out then a new bottle is instantly on order. The flavour is simply amazing. Peppery on top, warm & vanilla-ry underneath.
It won the Gin-Off in London for two years running. Works well with Fever Tree Aromatic and a sage leaf, or equally with classic Indian tonic and a slice of lime.

Absolutely love it!!
I am not a gin specialist, but I know what I like. Having tried quite a few gins, I admit I LOVE this one for several reasons: firstly, it tastes delicious - I like it most with Fever-Tree tonic, but have found that (due to its lovely, lovely aromas) it works with most tonics unlike other gins which can taste a bit too "boozy" for my liking. Secondly, this has been a hit with guests. Without fail, people will ask me about the delicious G&T I'm making which didn't happen before I was using Pink Pepper gin. I am now seeing Pink Pepper gin bottles at all of my friends' houses. Thirdly, it seems to be a bit of a bar keepers' favourite. I make a point of ordering it for my G&T when I'm out and see it on the bar shelves and it's often commented on as an excellent choice. Can't argue with the professionals, can you?! It comes in a cool looking bottle too and makes a great present (though this is not the reason I now see it at my friends' houses ;-) )

punchy peppery goodness
The pepper is so strong and when you add grapefruit it compliments it so well. Not for everyone but definitely for me

Divine!
Smooth, rich and complex with layers of sublime flavours. Buy some pink pepper corns and grind them down to add to your glass. Fabulous!

Choice of tonic makes all the difference with this one.
I really didn't like this the first time I tried it at a gin festival, it was served with a plain tonic and it was too sweet and coconutty for my taste. However, I have since had this as a sample from a Gin Club with a suggested serving of aromatic tonic and a slice of orange. I was doubtful of this because I also do not like aromatic tonic much but, it seems two negatives make a positive and this is a good combination. By far, not my favourite gin but I appreciate it for being different.

Favourite gin
Smooth. Tastes of silky peppercorn sauce. Hints of vanilla. Full bodied with spice and the favourite gin out of my collection. Love this gin
