The second release from Scotland's Arbikie Distillery is Kirsty's Gin, a tasty tipple crafted using a base spirit made from estate-grown potatoes (King Edward, Cultra and Maris Piper varieties) and a small selection of botaicals - Juniper, Kelp, Carline Thistle and Blaeberry. It was named after Arbikie's Master Distiller, Kirsty Black.

The potato alcohol makes it have a vodka like taste that isn't suites to a gin. The company suggested a ginger ale with it but that was awful. Overall, dissappointing
The creamy mouthfeel from the potato base tends to obscure the flavours giving a gluey taste. The crispness of a true gin is missing and definition. Green and vegetal - not good at all in a G&T. The vodka is way better.
Love it and being called kirsty black too makes it all the better xxx
Absolutely beautiful. My favourite now without a doubt. How I like it- very little tonic- treat it like a fine single malt whisky. I find couple of slices of cucumber and a few basil leaves accentuates the taste and doesn't dominate. By cooling the gin and the tonic means I don't need ice.
Tried this in a restaurant with fever tree tonic, a twist of orange, and a strawberry. Utterly delicious and very smooth. I'd definitely have it again.
