
An intriguing cherry wine from Denmark's Frederiksdal Kirsebaer, which was allowed to rest outside in carboys left in the sun for a year, a practice that happens in the production of Madeira and a few other styles of wine. Following that, it spends another year ageing in Cognac barrels.
Intense helpings of raisin, dried cherry and prune, backed up by walnut and earthy oak.
