Poire Williams Des Monts De La Cote D'or is a more exclusive presentation of Joseph Cartron's pear eau-de-vie, made with specially selected pears grown in their orchards in Burgundy. The spirit is rested in glass demijohns for 2 to 5 years before blending and bottling at 49% ABV. This results in a highly aromatic spirit, rich with fruit and subtly floral carried by a smooth, oily mouth-feel.
A wonderful Eaux de Vie de Poire. Very strong pear flavour cutting through the quite fiery spirit - this brew is 49% abv and not to be trifled with. An exceptional drink.
A superb pear spirit best to drink neat without ice to appreciate the subtle flavours.
