Tasting notes describe it as buttery and fruity. It has aromas of ripe nectarine, pear skin, and honey. The taste includes fresh croissants, apricot jam, and cinnamon butter. It finishes with woody vanilla, peaches, and dark toffee.
The Ninkasi Whisky Small Batch 2022 is a single malt. It aged for almost four years in Marsanne casks. This was inspired by a meeting between distiller Alban Perret and winegrowers. It's recommended with "semi-cooked duck foie gras" or blue-veined cheese. The whisky has aromas of tonka bean, yellow fruit, brioche, and honey. The taste is butterscotch, spice, oily walnut, and orchard fruit. It finishes bright and dry.
The Small Batch Hors Série Whisky matured from 2019 to 2022. It used two Cognac casks and one Chardonnay wine cask. The distillery's master distiller has a wine background. This whisky has a smell of flowers, tropical notes, pear, pineapple, and chamomile. The taste is candied ginger, grilled fruits with honey, biscuity malt, and floral citrus blossom. It finishes with honeyed sponge cake, marmalade, buttery pastry, and a bit of pepper.
