Coyaba started in Cornwall. It is the creation of William and Rubina Tyler-Street. They founded the Curio Spirits Company in 2012. People know them as curious. They are famous for their Wild Coast Gin and artisan vodkas. But their handcrafted spirits stand out. They use local Cornish ingredients and pure Cornish spring water. Coyaba also supports a local Cornish swimming team, the "Funky Dunkers".
The name "Coyaba" comes from the Barbados Arawak language. It means 'place of paradise' or heaven.
In 2018, the brand introduced a new spiced rum range. These rums blend warm, sunny flavours. They come from Barbados, Trinidad, and Jamaica. Cornish spring water, exotic spices, and natural flavours add to the taste. The team worked hard to find the perfect flavour. They used real fruit. The result was amazing. The labels on the bottles are unique and imaginative.
The Scorched Pineapple rum is popular. It has a bold, vibrant taste. It combines pineapple with smoky and sweet notes. It's great for BBQs. The Spiced Banana rum tastes like Banoffee Pie. It has spicy banana, toffee, vanilla, and cinnamon. The Salted Caramel rum mixes sweet caramel with Cornish sea salt. A new rum, Tropical Tangy Mango, is coming soon. It will have a strong mango flavour.
Coyaba is always looking to innovate. They plan to grow the brand. They believe every summer has a story and encourage trying different rums.
