Greek Wine Cellars was formerly known as Kourtaki and dates back to 1895 when it was founded by Vassilis Kourtakis. His son Dimitris Kourtakis who studied winemaking in France was instrumental in modernising the Greek wine industry. Today the company is one of the country’s largest producers and makes wines all over Greece including one of the country’s bestselling brands: Kourtaki retsina.
