Champagne Telmont

Founded in 1912 in Damery, Epernay, Vallée de la Marne, Champagne, the Telmont house has kept its quality and reputation for over a century. It remains in its original place.

In 1999, Bertrand Lhôpital took over as Cellar Master from his father, Serge. He focuses not just on production but on green viticulture. He values the environment and sustainability over production volume. This approach shapes Telmont’s champagne, reflecting both its land and its respect for nature.

Assistant Cellar Master, Aurore Guerlesquin, joined in December 2020. She quickly became part of the Telmont family. Her background in Epernay and experience with champagne houses gave her deep knowledge and passion. Together, Lhôpital and Guerlesquin combine tradition and innovation in their champagne.

Despite changes over time, Telmont remains true to its original values and excellence. In 2020, the Rémy Cointreau group became a majority shareholder, securing the brand's future.

The house is committed to environmental responsibility. It aims to produce 100% organic champagne in the future, ensuring sustainable practices. This commitment has led to partnerships with notable figures. Most notable is with actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, who invested in 2022.

In 2021, the winery launched its first organic cuvée, "Réserve de la Terre". It plans more organic certification, aiming for all its vines by 2025 and all partner winegrowers by 2031.

Champagne Telmont’s products, like "Blanc de Noirs 2014" and "Blanc de Blancs Vinothèque OR 2005," offer freshness, structure, and a unique quality. The brand’s ethos and products tell a story of respect for nature, tradition, and future generations. This story is evident in every bottle from Telmont’s cellars.
