The Berkshire Gin brand was created by Johnny Neil, of Whitley Neil fame, near his home in West Berkshire by the Yattendon Estate. The 9,000-acre estate, which is actually one of the largest Christmas tree growers in the UK, gave him access to work with new local flavours including Norway Spruce. The gins are made in a pot still called Harry which resides in the wonderful The Royal Oak Pub & Hotel right in the heart of Yattendon, but there are plans to put a bigger still in place on the Yattendon Estate with an ambition to create rum and vodka.
