This is a very solid XO and it's no wonder it is used by Air France in their business lounges and planes. It doesn't come with a big name price tag but it is a classic style of XO Cognac. Nose: Oaky with spicy and nutty notes of almond, toffee and dried apricot Palate: Earthy and oak with lingering notes of almond, nutmeg and a hint of toffee Finish: Long with a good rancio This is classic cognac in every way. Personally I would prefer a more varied fruit profile and some added complexity but this bottle is true to classical cognac and is perhaps the measure to which all other XOs should be compared.
Tesseron 90, 70 and 29 are all fantastic expressions of this house. I cannot recommend them enough. Classic Cognac making at its best.
