An XO Cognac from Richard Delisle in France, a brand whose origins date back to 1850. Aged for at least six years before bottling, this has fabulous oaken character – a wonderful sipper over ice, this one.
Fruity with wafts of pears and macerated grapes, dark chocolate with slightly earthen, vegetal notes, warming oaky spice, and liquorice.
