Hermitage 1957 Grande Bottling Note
Another rare and distinguished vintage Cognac bottled by Hermitage, this time from the 1957 harvest. It was crafted from the classic grape variety Ugni Blanc, which was cultivated in the Western end of the Grande Champagne cru near Gimeux and the River Né. Little is known of the distillation, but it's likely it was created in a small still with a quite wide still head. We do know that it was matured for decades in oak barrels. And that it's brilliant.
