A particularly swanky Grande Champagne Cognac here from Delamain and its Pléaide range. The Collection Plénitude release is a single cask expression distilled back in 1980 and matured for 40 years. There's plenty of interesting information about its production on the label, which can sometimes be a bit of a rarity for many spirits, so if you're a fan of the details, this ought to be your sort of thing.
Wow! This is like stepping into a vintage Bentley, or expensive furniture shop: old leather, walnut, and furniture polish. Then there’s autumn leaves and rancio notes.
So mellow and soft, with baking spice, creamy toffee, and fruitcake.
Salted caramel ice cream. Utterly gorgeous.
