Clicquot Demi-Sec

A rich, full-bodied sparkler, Veuve Clicquot's Demi Sec has a higher dosage than the Yellow Label, and the result is a slightly sweet wine with ripe fruit and hints of brioche. Beautiful!

Mmmmmm
I am no great fan of any really dry wine, especially chardonnay, and even less so of brut Champagne in general. This is genuinely demi-sec, rather than off-dry but obviously predominantly pinot noir, and with a trace of the biscuit flavours held in such high regard in brut Champagnes. Flavours of apricot and perhaps even a very distant hint of cheese, or all things. VERY, very nice with my favourite accompaniment to fizz - breakfast of cream cheese and smoked salmon bagels - mmmmmmmm.
