Porte Noire 2010 Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Champagne

Porte Noir, meaning Black Door in French, is top actor Idris Elba's restaurant and Champagne brand. He's clearly aiming for the high end if this release is anything to go by. Produced by Champagne Sanger, it's 100% chardonnay and made only from grapes grown in Grand Cru vineyards and is given an extended ageing on the lees.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

On the nose there's lemon and subtle meringue, toast, coffee and hazelnut notes. It's racy on the palate, with delicate bubbles and a long, rich, mature finish.
