Leblon Cachaça Reviews

Fantastic

This was my first cachaca purchase. Oh boy did I luck out. Upon opening the bottle the perfume of this exquisite spirit emanating out immediately made me smile. It's grassy, it's fresh, it smells of a finely lovingly made product. I started by making caipirinhas with it then just ended up drinking it on the rocks with no mixers.

Excellent, more delicate flavour

As any decent barman will tell you, this cachaça has a deserved reputation for making the finest caipirinhas. It is a much more delicate and smooth drink than many of its peers and this makes it a superb choice for the caipirinha. It has a very light, fresh, grassy flavour, which stands up just enough to punch through the lime. Having said that, I do prefer the slightly more "agricultural" and perhaps unrefined flavour of the Germana 2 year old, which packs a bigger "punch" in a cocktail. It's not as smooth, for sure, but WOW! Try it.
