10 year old brandy from the famous Vecchia Romagna brand, which is one of the most popular spirits brands in Italy. The Vecchia Romagna Riserva is made from Trebbiano grapes and spends a decade maturing in oak casks to develop deep wells of character and flavour from the casks.

Normally a "malt" man, but decided to try something different. Never seriously tried brandy, strangely enough, even with my mature years. This is an excellent introduction to the genre. Really smooth, with nice fruity overtones not found in "malts". Don't think it'll replace my first choice (malt), but recommended for anyone who fancies a palatable change.
