A stunning brandy from top Spanish producers, Romate. This is a single barrel spirit, made by distilling Airen wine to a low strength in copper pot stills. The resultant spirit is aged in barrels which previously held Fino and Amontillado sherries. Stunning stuff.
Sweet, fruity nose with notes of aromatic woods - potpourri and cedar, a little fino sherry nuttiness, hints of salinity.
Rich and juicy with notes of dried fruits and sherried peels. Dates, walnuts, a little light truffle note and nutmeg.
Long and rich, with intense, spiced oak.
