Asbach 8 Year Old is a popular rich, spicy German brandy which has been matured in small French Limousin oak casks. The company has won many awards for their brandies, including a Gold at the 2013 World Spirit Awards for the 8 year old expression.
I enjoy having a glass of brandy about once a fortnight and l like trying different brandies and do far this 8 year old comes up to the standards l like.
I don't like brandy. I don't drink brandy. But this is something else. Delightful and so enjoyable. There is something like cherry in it. Such a dense taste.
Very rounded and much smoother flavour compared to the three year old. Great value for money, especially to popular VSOPs
This really is a very good brandy for the price. Noticeably better than the standard 3 year and sometimes my taste buds even prefer it to the 15 year old. Easily better than all the standard VSOP's you can buy and better than some XO. Personally I think you need to go up to something like a Hine Antique to find better.
This is an excellent brandy. Smooth taste & warming as it goes down. I personally prefer this brandy to any other brand on the market. Very highly recommended. Better than any top brand that you can buy in the shops.
