    Vintage Cocktails

    Antique Negroni – 1970s/early 1980s – Batch 3

A brilliant Negroni cocktail from The Handmade Cocktail Company's Experimental Series, this was made with ingredients from the 1970s and early 1980s! These include classic Gilbey's Gin, Campari, Martini Rosso and Punt E Mes. The result is a brilliant cocktail with some real pedigree!

The concept of the ‘Vintage Cocktail’ range is simple – you get all the ingredients for a superb cocktail pre-mixed, all you have to do is pour it over ice, stir, then strain off into your glass and garnish (in this instance with a healthy slice of fresh orange). Each bottle carries a stamp showing its year of manufacture.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Tart berry fruit and bittersweet hints of dried herbs. Calves leather, lemon zest, notes of juniper, cloves and cedar.

    Palate

Gin to the fore, followed up by the herbal, sweet, bitter flavour from the Campari and the sweet Vermouth. Red berries and spice. Herbal.

    Finish

    Long, bitter finish. Very herbal.

    Overall

    Absolutely cracking stuff.
