Do you want a top quality cocktail when you come home from work without having to get in esoteric ingredients or faff about with measuring jugs and scales? One option is to marry a bartender, the other is to invest in some ready-mixed cocktails from Benjamin & Blum. The Orange Bloom is a variation on the classic gin martini but with red vermouth, triple sec and few drops of Darjeeling tea. It featured in Harry Craddock’s classic Savoy Cocktail Book from 1930. Serve very cold in a chilled martini glass with a twist of orange to make it look super fancy.

The name is a bit of a giveaway, the triple sec gives it a rich orange taste supported by the sweetness and spice of the red vermouth. For those who find the classic martini a little too dry.
